Podcast production

We capture conversations on separate tracks, edit cleanly, remove noise with care, and deliver finished episodes — so listeners follow the story, not the room reverb.

Two podcast hosts at the table with microphones, engineer nearby.

Podcasts depend on clarity: every voice must be intelligible, pauses should breathe, and music should sit under speech without taking over. At our table setup in Wien we record one track per person — even when guests join late or dial in remotely.

Noelpulse has supported episodic shows since 2019 for editorial teams, associations, and companies in Vienna. Jonas Erdmann handles production and podcast workflows; reach us at +43 1 546 78 90 or via contact. Hours: Mon–Fri 10–19, Sat by appointment.

Workflow

  1. Concept

You outline format, audience, episode length, and release cadence. We decide whether on-site, hybrid remote guests, or post-only on your raw files makes sense.

  2. Recording

Hosts and guests at the table on broadcast mics; an engineer watches levels and a backup recording. For remote guests we use a tested link so editing and loudness stay stable later.

  3. Edit

Remove slips and filler by agreement, tighten sections, place intro/outro and beds. The session package (€380) covers three hours including edit time — see rates for scope.

  4. Loudness and export

We align to podcast-typical loudness targets and export WAV and MP3 (mono/stereo as needed). Chapter marks and metadata are covered in our file formats guide.

Formats we support

Interview shows with one or two hosts, panel talks with up to four people at the table, narrative series with scripted reads, and short internal news updates. We can handle video podcasts on the audio side — video production is outside our scope, but sync-ready tracks are included.

If you already record elsewhere and only need edit plus loudness, send multitrack or stereo material. We review upfront whether quality matches your audience or a new session in our 3 rooms is smarter.

On site, hybrid, or post-only

On site at Stapelgasse: controlled acoustics, dedicated mics, engineer in the room. Best when guests rotate or you want live elements. Getting here: Take U4 to Pilgramgasse, then walk about 7 minutes via Rechte Wienzeile toward Stapelgasse. Alternatively tram 6 or 18 to Margaretengürtel / Kettenbrückengasse, then a short walk..

Hybrid: hosts in studio, guests remote — we watch latency, monitoring, and backup tracks. Not every remote tool suits broadcast quality; we test your usual platform at brief.

Post only: you supply recordings; we edit and normalize. Billing is often hourly (€110) or packaged when scope is fixed.

Room and signal flow

The podcast area uses boom arms, pop filters, and headphone feeds per speaker. Levels are recorded conservatively so loud laughs do not clip and quiet lines keep noise floor. A safety copy runs in parallel.

Across 24 patch points we can add instruments or room mics — for live music inserts. The live room (42 m²) is available for larger setups by appointment.

We do not publish gear laundry lists; what matters is intelligibility on common headphones, car speakers, and smart speakers.

Editing approach

We do not auto-delete every “um” unless you want a very tight show. Default is natural flow: clear openings, clean transitions, removing noise and repeated lines. Long thinking pauses are shortened only with your OK.

Music beds and FX sit under speech without hurting clarity. Sidechain ducking is used sparingly. With multiple speakers we agree who stays upfront when voices overlap.

For brand shows we note edit choices briefly so later episodes stay consistent — especially when several editors rotate in the studio.

Loudness, files, and platforms

Streaming apps expect defined loudness ranges. We export so your episode does not sit quietly next to others in the queue. Targets and formats are explained in podcast file formats and loudness.

What this service is not

Music mixing and mastering are separate (mixing, mastering). Voiceover for ads or audiobook-style recording falls under vocal recording when it is not episodic editing.

We are not responsible for editorial content, legal advice on statements, or download numbers. Publishing, RSS care, and marketing stay with you or your agency.

Multitrack archives: 24 months at Noelpulse, then deletion unless extended. Website cookies: cookie policy.

Questions & answers

How many people fit at once?

We routinely work with two to four speakers at the table. More is possible by arrangement and may need extra mic setup time. Ask ahead via contact.

Can I send my own recording?

Yes, if quality fits your format. Send a short sample; we will say honestly whether post-only is enough or a session in Wien is better.

Who maintains the RSS feed?

We deliver audio files; feeds, sites, and platform accounts are yours. See the guides hub for format articles — host setup is not part of the package.

How fast is turnaround?

After a session package, often within a few business days depending on length and studio load. Rush may be available for a surcharge — ask via [email protected].

What if we cancel on the day?

Free cancellation up to 5 days before the date under our terms; after that deposit rules apply. We usually reply within 2 business days.
